12 years of imprisonment for treason in the form of espionage

A 22-year-old resident of the closed administrative-territorial entity (closed city) of Krasnoznamensk was convicted of having contacted a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence via

Telegram, from whom he received instructions to gather coordinates and information on military facilities within Krasnoznamensk. He then took photographs on his mobile phone and sent them to his handler via Telegram.

The information requested by the Ukrainian special services was necessary for planning and carrying out fire strikes, as well as for conducting sabotage and terrorist activities.
